BALASORE: Members of the Youth Congress have threatened to hit the streets alleging that ‘police favouritism’ resulted in a smooth win for the BJD candidates in the district. They further alleged that the ruling party captured many seats by using ‘money’ and ‘muscle’. Accusing the district police of favouring the BJD candidates, district Youth Congress president Bibekananda Mohanty said though he had brought to the notice of the police several illegal activities of the BJD leaders and supporters, no action was initiated. The members submitted a memorandum in this regard to SP Rajesh Kumar. They further alleged that BJD supporters attacked their Congress counterparts and looted their houses.
